The Meaning of Our Name 

 

The Elephant and the dog both became pregnant. Soon, the dog had many puppies. While those puppies grew and had their own litters, the elephant stayed pregnant. The dog asked why it was taking so long. The elephant replied that she was creating something grand and majestic, which requires a lot of time and patience. At Elephant Pottery, we believe the same is true for our craft. Excellence cannot be rushed. Just as the elephant takes time to bring something large and beautiful into the world, we take our time with every piece of pottery we make. We focus on slow, careful work to ensure each hand-shaped item is unique, strong, and worth the wait. Great things take time to grow, and we believe our handmade art is proof of that dedication to quality over speed.
